Palouse Harvest Photo Workshop
The rolling hills of wheat, barley, lentils and canola with country roads punctuated by over 100-year-old barns lends itself to a photographer’s paradise. The subject matter is endless. The harvest season in the Palouse is a unique experience and is not often photographed, most folks choosing the Spring. All of the great features of the Palouse are there, just in different shades of color. Instead of greens, there are golds and yellows and browns! Endless variations of color along with the amazing shapes of the hills make this an incredible photographic opportunity. The “Palouse” area is located in Southeastern Washington where the major towns are Pullman, Washington and Moscow, Idaho. The Palouse is fairly remote. It’s not a tourist destination, but during the spring and summer there are usually many photographers. PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is part of the Photograph the Pacific Northwest series, a collaboration between Jack Graham and John Pedersen to highlight the magnificent beauty of the PNW through in-depth workshops at some of the most iconic and beautiful locations.
