Quite a few years ago I began writing these essays about how I go about deciding “Which One Works” when it comes to photographing a scene or picking the image to retain in my files. Within these essays, we discuss different photographs and why I feels some of the photographs work from an artistic or technical perspective and why some of them don’t work as well. Every image should contain something that to you, is important and compelling enough to take a photograph. Though the gear doesn’t make a successful image (it just gives you the chance to!) will include the gear, lens settings and more for each image but more importantly what I was thinking was before during and after the shutter was depressed and why in the end, I choose the image I did.
