Yesterday I watched this great film, “Jay Myself”, that I highly recommend. It is simply amazing. For those who might not know Jay’s work (are there any?) Jay is simply one of the finest image makers ever.

Jay has lived for almost 50 years in an iconic building in lower New York City. This video if marketed as a documentary about the move from this building after so many years to a new residence in Brooklyn. However, it is a wonderful insight into one of the best thinking photographers who ever lived. We can all learn so much from Jay. You can buy or rent it HERE via Amazon.

Yes, he’s a New Yorker in many senses. (Since I grew up close to NYC I can relate), but his love for people, photography and life is written all over his face as well as his work.

Please take a hour or so to watch this magnificent film. I remember as a kid his image of Miles Davis on the cover of one of the biggest selling jazz albums ever… “Kind of Blue”

I’ve been shooting so many images recently with the new 16-80mm F4 R OIS WR lane from Fujifilm. Hundreds of reviews have already been posted, all glowing. I cannot recommend this lens more. Again, FUJIFILM really under priced a lens, in the quality of the rest of the lens lineup from Fujifilm.

Below are some of my recent images, most made with the 16-80mm on a X-T3 or X-H1 body.
